A number of web sites in the photographic community provide the opportunity for us to submit images for comment. To push our creativity a bit, they present challenges and themes that you need to step up to with your creation. Notable sites are: Fred Miranda’s Weekly Assignments Fred Miranda’s Monthly Assignments A host of themes from JPG Magazine (if you register with fredmiranda.com, you can see all of the winners from the past. – I haven’t been on in a long while, but my account was still active, and I have never received any junk from them.) I mentioned at the June Print Division meeting that I would like to offer a similar opportunity to TPS Members, so based on some loose feedback, here are the challenge/theme category for each month through April. (yes, I have taken ideas from both communities) September - silence October – My Favorite Activity November – Ripple Effect December – Create your own filter January – stars February - Teeny Tiny March - Broken April - White on White
We will continue to limit 2 entries per member. There are no extra credits for entering the theme of the month. The intent is to push us all a bit. Please have a safe and enjoyable summer. Happy shooting! Dave Scott
